Thanks in advance

Offer 2800 and buy it! Mine has a little more rust than that and a bunch more miles, but has a lift and 33" tires, and I got mine for $2500.

seems like a lot of frame rust to me and there looks to be significant oil leak as well... knuckles may need some attention too... depending on what they sell for normally in your area, I'd say pass for a cleaner one. or get him substantially under 2K.

Frame rust is only surface, i don't see anything rotted, maybe just the back channel, but it is maybe flake of dirt. Looks solid. I'd worry more about where the leak is from.

yeah that rear section was pretty bad.

anything I need to go and look at during round 2 of inspections?
I wanted to do a compression test as well...
There is some body damage but this is going to be more of a rig that I get to drive and not worry about.

Thanks for lookin at it.

Skip it unless you want to fix the frame. Otherwise it looked fine.

I see a whole lotta rust....
I'd say pass on it and find something with less rust...
They are outthere just gotta look around....

Good luck to yah..

I think the bottom line is that the frame will be toast soon. My frame looked like that, then the area near the rear spring hanger went, then the shock tube was gone, and yes the area by the spare tire is done as well! Do a search, and you will find many threads about frame swaps!

Run don't walk! There is way to much rust for $3,200.

Pic # 14 (from the top) the whole slash guard is rusted away

Pic #19 Massive frame rust issues

Unless you want to do a frame swap it is not worth it.

Dynosoar :zilla:

I would pass based on the rust and price. What are you looking to do with the cruiser? You plan on keeping it awhile?

Bah, you guys in Cali don't know rust, it looks pretty decent to me. Is the outer channel clean at the back end of the frame? If so, you can just remove the inner channel and box the frame.

True dat, but I still wouldn't touch that truck. Why do frame repairs for that kind of money? That's a parts truck here. Offer $750.

I paid less for same miles and no rust at all.

i wouldn't touch that with a 10 foot pole,be patient, search, search, search, surely theres better rigs around for that money in the usa, sorry about calling ya shirley:doh:

cheers goldchaser

It's almost unanimous. Too much rust. The section of the frame behind the rear spring hanger always flakes up and rusts like that, but that's not what concerns me. In every shot where you can see into the frame through an opening or hole, there's dark orange looking back at you. This truck was not well taken care of and that frame will need to be swapped out pretty soon. You'll get 2-3 years before it is BAD, but why would you do that? The truck seems more like $1,500 on a very, very, very good day. I learned this the hard way: Cultivate a degree of patience that you don't normally have with these vehicles before you pull the trigger and hand over hard cash or you will have buyer's remorse like a mo fo. Don't feel guilty saying "no".

For Canadien standard it is not bad...at all, Where are you?

You still haven't said what you really want to do with it. Will it be a daily driver? Wheeler? Camper? Hunting? Mall queen? Project? In any case don't get it if it will be your only vehicle because it will need work. Can you weld and turn a wrench? There is a reason you don't see these everywhere, it requires a little more attention (maintenance, troubleshooting) than just jumping in and running around (they are 20+ yr old vehicles). Not that they are not reliable, just that this one looks like it will need some work if you want to keep it on the road and for that price I would expect more.
