Well I was looking in the FL section and I noticed Alan mentioned about sending me a photo. I looked in my e-mail but failed to see it until I looked in my Junk e-mail folder. Somehow my server thought it was spam. Far from it. I have since added him into my address book. I apologize Alan for not seeing it sooner. As most of you know Alan took the 37" Krawlers I had off my hands. I'd say they were a perfect match. Very nice.

That trail truck is looking better then ever.

Alan let me know about the diff protection maybe we can work on it after we get the 55 running at my help a member day next weekend.

Bombing!!! Looks great Alan. You're going to tear it up this year.

What's the spec on the rims? Did you have to use spacers?

Just got the GSMTR invite in the mail today. Can't wait to break something:doh:
They are Eagle Alloys 17x 9.50. I was trying to buy black steel but found these for only 150.00 more for five. Seems Eagle is moving from Rock Hill, S.C. to somewhere in N.C. so they were liquidating some inventory, or so they say. They fit without any spacers as the tierods fit inside but I used 1 inch spacers to get a little wider stance and hopefully help stay upright. Thanks for the kind words. And thanks Troll for the post:)

Hey Alan somethin I saw online the other day made me think of ya. Saw a portable welder for the trail. I think it was on ARB's website...not sure though. But figured that's about the last thing you need to buy to make your rig totally complete:) Can never hurt.

That way when your next passenger finishes breakin the seat you'll be able to weld it back together on the trail.

Truck looks real good, Alan. Looking forward to getting back up there. GSMTR will be a hoot. I'm not leaving my camp until you show up. Gonna wheel with you for sure this year.:D

Alan - need to pick your brain more on the wheels. What was total cost per rim? They're not beadlocks are they - can't tell from picture? What was the offset with and without the spacers. How much per spacer? Mike's problem wasn't the tie rods but limited turning radius due to tires being too close to springs. Thinking about looking into tires (just dreaming - not really too seroius, but you never know). I really like Mike's setup but would might consider the wheels you got with staun beadlocks.

Looks sharp Alan!

They are 4-3/4 backset. With spacers 3-3/4" from Trail Gear 160.00. The five Eagle 17x9.50's were 624.00 with tax. They aren't beadlocks but have a nice turnout with studs that a close second in looks. I had so much trouble finding them I considered beadlocks but 257.00 each plus shipping was too much for me. I don't have any clearance problems with them,

Capt. Jim, planning on camping with your group if you have room.

Look at the picture, although the front is a little hard to tell the rear axle is definitely SUA.

I have to say it : Pictures don't do it justice. Alan's
trail 40 is sweet! Those rims and tires look just about
perfect. Great SUA setup.

Oh David, I definitely wasn's trying to say Alan's 40 was as slouch in any area.. i had to wipe the drool off my chin when we were over at his house before the trip to turkeypen's bbq festivities... He truly has an amazing rig!!
