Will post more info after Oct 8th when Gabe meets up with his cousin

Costs: $10 per shooter for the house and a waiver (reason? So that Gabe's Family will continue to let us use their land so we can make this an annual event)

What to Bring: Gubs (handguns, shotguns, rifles, anything else your legally allowed to have), box of clays, ammo, thrower if you have one, fishing gear (w/state license)

Camping: We will be able to camp there overnight if you wish, please bring all your own gear and food.

im interested and might can provide a place to shoot if given enough advanced notice and certain terms are agreed upon. (no alcohol) I should even have a case of clays we can shoot!!

No Alcohol is fine with me. Last thing we need is Marshall to get hammered on his cheap beer and pepper someone. PM me some details.

The more beer I drink the better shot I am. Though I'm cool with no beer. That way I might be able to bring Becca out to shoot a few. She's never shot a gun.


Plus I'd like to have an excuse to clean my guns.
 
Where is steve? This thread has been up for 5 hours and it has the word gun/shooting in it and he hasn't been seen in here yet.
 
johnlee just call me later on tonight around 5pm or after and we can go from there.

I have a few clays and a portable double thrower.

my family member is in colorado. Once we establish a date i will contact him on getting permission to use his property. He is doing some work for the military so he travels alot.
 
I'm in and we may as well just have every one buy a box of clays and bring them....whenever my buddy and I shoot, we each kill a box a piece.....I think it's called addiction....and we can always drink after we have the shoot.....it'll help ward off the shoulder pain till the next day!
 
I believe that Spartanburg Gun Club allows non members to use the facility. I am interested, used to shoot trap a good bit.
 
I'll get with Gabe and start planning. I was thinking the first or second week of November, but i'll confirm with Gabe. Should still be nice and cool outside. Maybe we can team up with a MM meeting afterwards or camping. This gathering will be deemed "UC Top Shot".

I looked into them earlier, but they are like most gun clubs in the upstate. It gets pretty pricey for non members.

Nonmember Fees**


Trap and Skeet - $7 per 25 targets
Five Stand - $10 per 25 targets
Sporting Clay* - $40 per 100 targets

*Target counters have been installed on all stations of the automated sporting clays course. Please stop by the clubhouse foelectronic counters.

**Nonmembers must present proof of current membership in a Trap, Skeet, or Sporting Clay Association or membership in any gun club. Nonmembers may not bring a visitor unless the visitor also provides proof of a current membership in a Trap, Skeet, or Sporting Clay Association or membership in any gun club.
 
I got with the fam today and have good news. Will share the details once johnlee and i have talked.
 
Alright Gentleman, the date has been set for Nov 5th. Gabe's cousin has graciously let us use his land. Gabe will post up with some pics and location. There will be a $10 dollar donation per shooter for the house for letting us use his land and hopefully allowing us to come back yearly to make this an annual thing. We will also be camping there that night for those interested. There will also be a waiver that will need to be signed in case of any accidents. Thank you for all those interested.
