Would love to keep it for the 40 project I have always dreamed about but I need the money more to pay for the cruiser I currently have. So here is what I got; a decent running 2f that had about 115,000 miles on it before I got it from the donor 87’ fj60. I am still running the tranny t-case from that vehicle with zero issues. The truck was stock and original tires suspension so it was never run hard. I put it in my fj45lv 3 years ago and it did not hit the road until two years ago and it fired right up. I just pulled out of my 64 fj45lv. It was fine moving my 6500lb. cruiser around until I started towing my trailer and it just didn't have the hp on the highway. The engine and everything from the engine mounts to fit the later model 2f in a fj40 frame, to the clutch disk 3F bell housing are in there as well.
I would love to unload it as a whole package deal, in that I am in the midst of a v8 swap and my time (what time I am permitted by the
) is to work on the v8 in that my lv is my daily driver. Right it and all its parts sit in my CDN M101 trailer so it would be easily transported anywhere in the New England area, just need an engine hoist on your end. You can see pictures of said trailer in the link in my sig line for my trailer build. As well as you can see when and why and how I used most of the parts I bought for the engine in my Wilma build thread also in my sig line.
So a quick tally of parts: if it does not sell whole I will part it out but would prefer to sell it whole so I am not going to sell individual parts just yet. anyway I figure since every bolt on part is new in the last 2 years and has less than 5000 miles on them I figure 1/2 to 2/3 price on them still gets my somewhere around 2k in parts. so I am asking $1100 for the engine complete.
Here is a list of parts that I may later use to sell individually but it gives you a good idea of what is included.
-new fuel pump
-new ps pump
-new water pump
-new starter
-Jim C. rebuilt Carb and Dizzy (desmogged set up )
-Early 80’s 2f fj40 air cleaner matched up the stock fj60 aircleaner does not have the same look as a fj40 air cleaner.
- New radiator
- Rad hoses
- Ceramic headers from SOR there is some spot rust on these but otherwise in decent shape.
- Clutch was new at time of put back together.
- fj40 engine mounts that set up this engine just right in an fj40 frame.
