Why is it that on rigs where guys have removed the mud flaps, there never seems to be this part of the fender flare left/ visible? Do they trim it off? Do they put aftermarket fenders on? Or am I just blind and only notice it on my 80.

Well my only point is that the s10 has the same transmission, but a lighter truck and less horsepower. So makes me think that the tranny would struggle longevity wise with a heavier vehicle and a lot more torque. Yessir I appreciate your opinion, I've new to this and just sorting through...

Trying to decide what transmission to go with. I definitely am going Gen 3 with the engine, as I don't want to have to worry about AFM or DOD crap. Should I go 4L60E, 4L80E, or 6L80? - 4L60E doesn't seem very robust based on my experience with it in my 4.3L s10, but is the most cost effective...
