After fiddling with 2N2222 NPN transistor i decided to swap it for optocoupler PC817 between Arduino and 12V side. This should isolate the ground and eliminates grounding conflicts and hopefully get the 2H RPM gauge working.

Had a very slow crankcase myself, I swapped the battery from 64 amp to 80 amp and what a difference that made. Im running 12 volts since the engine is installed on my fj62. The other factor that helped a lot with pump timing, now prerry much cranks in 1 or 2 engine cycles with out glow plugs...

Tested my new setup offeoading. The Nomad handles much better, but I must adjust the pre boost fueling car struggles prior to turbo boost (dies a lot unless I have a press fuel pedal aggressively leading to excessive spinning or engine dies. Seems I will need turbo boost diesel adjustment...
