Didn't happen to sell a VDJ76 to a guy in Geelong Vic (Me)?......If so your doing exactly what I want to do to the one I bought from a bloke in Tamworth (possibly you).

Start of my FJ40 project/DD i suppose Ive built many cruisers over the years all 75s utes with big v8's etc but always kept a keen eye out for a FJ40/45 to play with, with 1 thing in mind, the best base start I can get (no rust, close to original etc) Anyway this beauty popped up on gumtree...

No typo, I can't edit but its a'n 85 with a VDJ front end conversion. Reason for swap to 12ht + auto is reliability and less broken things I hope, the cruiser gear just couldn't deal with the power of the LS1. Also wanted to go back to a diesel for better access to fuel when away and better...

My 85' HJ75 ute as it was in the pics 80s diffs with coil conversion LS1 V8 conversion 4" lift 35" trepador radials custom tube tray now undergoing a full rebuild (rebuild number 4) including tray sold now putting a tub back on LS1 and manual sold now going to 12HT...
