My PPI was done by a Toyota Dealer and they couldn’t even confirm the completeness of the AHC removal. I genuinely didn’t know if I had AHC, no AHC, or a partially removed system I could este store. Hopefully this doesn’t lead to a never ending string of repairs…but who are we kidding…welcome...

I'm sure you're all over it, but maintenance maintenance maintenance is where I would look first. Unless it's UTD on everything already. My truck was in good shape with 130k when I bought it a few years ago and it's cost me a few grand a year in little things here and there.

You got the same snap ring as me! Only Sears cheaped out and didn't do the extra step of grinding off the tabs on the snap ring. If I happen to find out who did mine I'll refer you to them so you can get the same amazing service!

I just finished up doing front rotors, calipers, pads, hubs, wheel bearings. And I found one very interesting thing when I tore into the DS. Instead of the requisite cir-clip, I found this gem of a snap-ring, even shaved down to fit! I'll throw in a gratuitous shot of a ground down caliper bolt...

I repaired my glass with one of the cheap single use kits and it’s been fine for 6 months through high heat. Not as perfect as unchipped glass, but it stopped the chip from running and no one would notice if they didn’t know.
