Can someone advise a brand/model to replace my Japanese navigation/entertainment head unit? Obviously the buttons are on the right side if it makes any difference nowadays as most units are touchscreen.

I checked transmission and driveline parts diagrams for the US version of 200 series Land Cruiser and mine has none of those tubes nor the air oil cooler. It looks like ATF goes into the thermostat and comes back to the transmission without going anywhere else 😯

I checked yesterday everywhere around the radiator and I could not see any transmission hoses attached to it. The original video shows the radiator with the transmission hoses at the bottom of it next to the larger coolant hoses and mine has none of them there 🤔

I'm in the process of replacing the transmission fluid and drained the pan today. The fluid was absolutely black with no evidence it was red before, almost like a year old used engine oil. Also, it had some odd smell, not burnt but if it was not fresh. I guess it was never changed over 16 years...

I agree with @08JDMCruiser that a similar Land Cruiser imported into Canada from United States would cost double with the current exchange rate and prices in US. Also, it would have a higher mileage and rust issues unless it was purchased in southern states like California.

The engine bay and the battery require a thorough wash. It’s hard to see all components when they are covered in dirt. Based on the color of fluid in the AHC reservoir it was not changed in a long time if at all.

@clueless2 Did you sell the Land Cruiser or decided to keep and take it with you to Texas? I noticed both of your ads are removed now from Kijiji and AutoTrader in Calgary.
