Hey thanks for posting this! I am sorry its been so long since I have hung with you all. I got to hang out with Milo and Jeff at the Expo for a bit. It was great seeing them again.
Please pass on the word and help get this thing funded!
Thanks guys, this is really helpful. I like that 3:30 rule, that makes total sense. I have heard burying your tire to winch off of. Have you heard of anyone doing that? Seems like a ton of work, but you gotta do what gotta do I guess.
I am probably in the same boat as most of you. I would like to go wheeling way more than I get to. My main problem is that its very hard to coordinate with the other wheelers to find a time when we can all go. My wife is really uncomfortable with me going solo, and she has a great point, if I...
I am going to try make it to the meeting tonight. I have two deadmans (deadmen?) to give away if anyone is interested. The only thing I ask in return is that you use it and give me any feedback or thoughts you may have. I am not talking only using it for recovery but for anything you can think...
I am not sure yet. I was thinking $10,500. Don't know if that's too high or low. 167k miles. I need to work on writing up the ad, and taking all the pics of it.
Got stuck (on purpose) to test out the Deadman. It worked by the way. I am also putting together the video of it in action.
I won't be able to make it again. Getting ready to put the house on the market this week. Staying local, just need something different.
Also in other sad news, I have decided to sell my cruiser. As much as I love it, and it fits my family so well, its just not cutting it as a tow vehicle. We...
Thanks Landtank, I will stick with 95* and I have 20k on the way right now since I am planning on towing a 3500lbs trailer around. I am thinking I may grab 15k to try first, then move up if needed.
Ok, so I basically read this entire thread. It took me a few days but I did it. I'll admit I did skim some of it.
This thread has been alive for nearly 10 years now, and its chock full of excellent discussions/debates ranging from oil weights to fan blade deflection and chewed up radiators...
I'd be all for a wrenching party, I want to get my bearings and axles seals done, as well as new rotors and pads. It's be great to knock all that out at the same time with your guys expertise to help me along. Honestly I would like to get that done sooner than later as my rig is shaking like a...
Good idea. I did a quick search on amazon and there were quite a few options. Here is one with better ratings than most. http://www.amazon.com/CableJive-dockBoss-Smart-Adapter-iPhone/dp/B004UG7RQ0/?tag=ihco-20
Yeah it does. I tried using one of those 30pin to newer style adapters, it worked to get the sound through the head unit but it did not charge it, which was a no go for me at the time. I think that had to do with the adapter, not the cable.
There is no aux jack unfortunately, there is a cable that plugs into the back of the unit that connects to an older style 30pin connector. See the fourth picture. I imagine there is a version for the newer style connectors but I don't know for sure.
