What's the goto for 60 steering box replacement?

I adj the same as I always do and according to the FSM. I might even be a little tighter then I would typically go. I'll port and rebuild another before I take this one off and tear into again. I'm just using gates rebuild kits with no bearings. Bearings appeared and felt good. Here is...

Correct, it's the larger, late model box. 87 HJ61 with LH box on inside rail.

What's the goto for 60 steering box replacement?

I've got spare LHD 60 series boxes. This is on my 61 RHD. Can't go back to a RHD box as the coil overs are in the way. The system works as is, it's just this box has issues. I assume it's the gear interaction. I did tighten up the adj screw. On the bench it's was tight with no slack. I...

What's the goto for 60 steering box replacement?

Is the 80 series box the same size as the 60? I am running a LHD box on the inside rail of a RHD cruiser. And it's pretty tight. Hydro assist is already on the truck.

What's the goto for 60 steering box replacement?

Howdy all, I've rebuilt my PS box on Marmaduke and I think it is toast. I have over 4" of steering wheel play in the input shaft with NO sector shaft movement. Driving symptom are a floating feeling with slow wander left to right with wheel correction needed. My guess is the gears have...

From inside truck to roof rack wiring transition

not yet. Will most likely go with the duetch flange mount as I use the duetch connectors on everything else and I have the crimper ect. These ones: Deutsch DT 8-way 8 Pin L012 Flange Mount Firewall Plug Kit F Crimp #DT8FMST | eBay And just use a dummy plug when not in use. It sticks out...

do you have a boost gauge? Is your turbo leaking anywhere? What about a plugged air intake/filter?

From inside truck to roof rack wiring transition

I only need about 10 amps up there on 24V. I've used AMP connectors in the past but like them for firewall applications over the roof. The glands are nice for the through panel wiring but there's no disconnect. Then it's just a duetch connector flopping around That wireless option is WAY...

From inside truck to roof rack wiring transition

I'm still looking for a solution for the wiring that goes from inside of the truck to a roof rack mounted solar panel and LED lights 1) Easy to "undo" 2) waterproof 3) would like a solid mount on the truck side. I don't mind drilling holes. 4) 6 terminals would be great, 4 would work. Any...

What are you using for 24v fog lights.

sweet. If that's the plug you should be able to use a LED for that easily. Even if you have to add a relay after that plug... See what the fuse is rated at as I am sure it's on it's own circuit.

What are you using for 24v fog lights.

I have them on their own circuit and switched on the dash. I have all my lights using a duetch connector at the light, then ran back to a fuse block, with a switch on the dash. Is their a fog light switch on your 61? It would be as simple as wiring in a 24V relay and have it switched with...

What are you using for 24v fog lights.

Find yourself a set of LEDs. Most that I have seen have a vary wide voltage input range. And they draw next to nothing for amps. I just installed these on my HJ61. They draw 3.2 amps each at 12V and 1.7amps on 24V. They are a 7" LED with three pods. Two are spot and one is flood. LOVE...
