people said my subwoofer would severely limit my cargo capacity but
i have 8 17” tires, 4 still mounted on wheels in here no issue and still got the bass bumping 😅
I was doubtful it was the fan clutch because i’ve never seen or heard one go bad before but it seems like it was the culprit.
the fan noise has def gone down after replacing
discovered some weird clicking noise that i heard at idle. took me about a week of listening trying to figure out where it came from.
at first i thought it was the fan but couldn’t be sure
then i thought i have 130k and never changed the water pump maybe the propeller was rattling
ended up...
yeah it def sucked, worst part is i think the parking brake still isn’t adjusted correctly even though i took it off and made sure to get that “drag” when putting the rotors back on. I still feel it creep if i put the parking brake on before putting in park
nothing special lately but did change all 4 brake pads, rotors and shoes/hatdware
doing the shoes is the biggest PITA everywhere but on the plus side this will hopefully be the only time i ever have to do it
Def no issue with noise around here lol, I moved from VA where there was definitely more enforcement up here in MD you see people running open headers daily driving right past the troopers and local cops lol.

4 months and 2 trans drain and fills later confirmed that the “noise” is majority gone.
So def think it had to do with the complete trans flush that i did at lexus 27k ago at 100k
never thought that would cause issues but i can’t explain why after the first drain and fills later confirmed last...
Chasing this annoying inconsistent grumbling, roaring noise under 2k RPM with the occasional slip, I think im leaning towards it being related to be taking it to Lexus for a trans flush 25k ago at 100k.
I am going to be attempting a diy drain and fill on the trans tomorrow in hopes that maybe...
Turns out its every gear and sport mode did not help other than to confirm that it's in every gear. Guess ill have to dig some more as my issues doesn't appear to be the same as this one.
In the time that I've been experiencing it I haven't paid enough attention to tell which gears it's in but I will be sure to tonight. I wish I had a CEL to tell me a definitive culprit
So I have read through this entire thread and while I think my issue is distinct, I may also be going down the same path. Looking for some input if "transmission slipping" under 2kRPM is a symptom anyone was having prior to the CEL light coming on.
