So, I ripped into the deck this week...
Found no test port, or at least, nothing comparable to what my 90's LS400 had.
I'll be exploring other options in this thread's aforementioned sections to spoof the deck into thinking it's got a CD when it's really a AUX.
I feel it, my man. No worries, tried to respond with a giggle too ;)
I'm just a huge proponent of owning your own media, and in the modern era, do my best to share that P.O.V. when I get the chance to.
Esp. given that socio-culturally, we kinda 'won the war' against the record companies holding...
Only the finest digital audio storage device of the 21st century....
Kept music libraries as bigger than 100gb without any ad influence, any streaming latency issues, and directly encouraged people to actively keep their own libraries of music instead of having to pay, monthly, to access...
9 YEAR RESURRECTION:
I'm interested in this... having just got a real minty LX450 with a working OE CD/Cassette deck.
In my LS400, I soldered a 3.5mm aux into the main board using the OE stereo's master/test port. Just throw a blank cassette in, and the thing plays perfectly.
...I'm going...
...to a loving home.
Thank you so much @cryorunner, we'll make sure your time with her, your focus on precision, and the memories you have preserved... with the opportunity for many more afforded.

Got my FJ60 here... and since I'm making moves to a 4x4 Van instead of this, I should get her sold.
Reckon a good home could be found here, instead of in BaT (Currently awaiting submission from them).

I have long since sold my G003's, and gone to X3's (General) M/T's.
Run em' smaller and REAL wide (33x12.5 on a 9" 2.5" backspace wheel)
But, wanted to comment that I'd like to know your rain/slick-stuff performance with the KM3's.
Thinking of going back to G003's makes me remember how...
Excellent advice, I'll make sure to use that compressor. Definitely plan to play around with icing/heating on the Gates as needed, and get the 'yota ones to have JuSt InCaSe.

Watched this thread for a few years, but I'm going to tackle my own during my summer break.
Got a FJ6X box in my garage after putting a FZJ on my truck, and now I've got a little solid axle Toyota pickup that could use a power-steering swap.... as such; I can't vacillate any more on rebuilding...
