I would certainly be happy to report back on the effects, but I just got the vehicle, so I don't really have anything to base it against. Also, it might be a while before I can test it out. I'm not going to be driving the vehicle until I get my leaky injector pump fixed.
Made up some plates and did an EGR delete this afternoon. All that's left to do is add a ground strap and do a little clean up. Although you can't see them in the last pic, I did connect the hoses on the vacuum switching valves.
With so much conflicting info, and so many varying opinions, it's hard to know what to do. All of your info sounds reasonable, and I do appreciate it. I will certainly keep it in mind when buying oil.
I also don't see a gasket/o-ring kit for the injector pump. There are so many parts listed on Amayama for the injector pump, that I don't even know where to begin. I've see a few videos where people had bought kits, but I don't know where from.
So I'm about to remove the Injector Pump on my '96 HDJ80 for a rebuild, and while I'm in there, I plan on also doing the Timing Belt, Water Pump, and Valve Cover Gasket. I want to use OEM parts, or whatever might be better. Any suggestions on where to get the injector pump rebuild kit and...
