Aha! The past week we’ve had snow and icy roads. Twice now a VSC “wavy road” light has come on and loud beeping, and I felt the breaks engage on the driver’s side front wheel. Was wondering what the heck that was since I’ve never had it happen before on my 2003 100 series. I guess both times...

Thanks for this! My 2003 LC is due for an inspection and I had the MAINT REQD light on and thought it was due to a code so had been holding off getting an inspection. Scanned with an OBD sensor and realized there were no codes. Found this thread and the maintenance required light is gone...

Finally got the right pigtail today and installed it. Still need to get some wire loom but my truck is back to operational.

Follow up to finding a huge mouse nest in my engine bay and a vacuum switch cable chewed off. Finally back and able to take a closer look. The mice apparently only ate through the plug and cable. The switch itself appears to be fine. So I ordered a new plug and will try to splice the cable back...

I’ll have to check things when I get back, but so far it looks like the vacuum switch is the only casualty. 🤞

Last week my check engine light came on with a P0441 error (Evap ECS incorrect purge flow) and I checked the gas cap and reset the code as the truck is running fine: idle sounds normal, no loss of power, no fuel smell. Then I found a dead mouse under my truck. Thought that was odd and moved on...

That doesn't look bad at all. Mine was much worse when I bought my 2003, and all I did was spray some Rust-Oleum up into the tailgate and over the surface. It's been 4-5 years now, and the rust has not gotten any worse, so I must have lucked out. Now if my O2 sensor would just stop blowing...
