Expedition One rear bumper - it lives!

Let's see: Cutting: You have to cut off the the lower plastic skirt of the bumper and 2 brackets off the face of the cross beam. I cut the plastic with a dremel tool and the brackets with an angle grinder. Because the bumper wraps around everything, the cuts were pretty low stress. Quality...

Expedition One rear bumper - it lives!

Got some free time today and nice weather. Still needs to be leveled/tightened down.

Expedition One rear bumper - it lives!

Sorry, the weather and my schedule haven't been in agreement, but it looks like I'm going to make it happen this week I hope.

Expedition One rear bumper - it lives!

Going to try to install it this weekend. I'll weight it before I throw it on, but I can tell you it has some heft to it.

Expedition One rear bumper - it lives!

Picked mine up at Expedition One today in Ogden, UT. The employees that helped me were really nice and helpful. They had a couple of GX460s in the shop with the rear's installed and they look really nice in person. I went plain jane and plan to add a hitch mounted spare mount next to give me...

Any recommendations for a shop in Salt Lake County (south end or city)

No, my welding skills are like a -1 on a scale of 1-10, so there's no way I would mess with my frame.

LFD Off-Road Prototype GX460 rear bumper

Yeah, I'm going to pick it up at Expo1, so if it's got issues I'm not leaving with it...I'll do a full report when I get it of course.

Any recommendations for a shop in Salt Lake County (south end or city)

Sliders are super easy. The FCPs weren't too bad and I'm a noob. If you go at it yourself I would be happy to give you some tips I learned when I did mine. For the chop - I can't vouch for their work (big help, I know) - but I talked to Avatar Metal Works by the Real stadium and the owner was...

LFD Off-Road Prototype GX460 rear bumper

I just put in an order for the base Expo1 with powder coat and code4 lights for $1160 after discount. I thought the powder coat warranty was funny - if you pay us $150 extra on top of paying us $90 to powder coat your stuff we will even stand by our work for one year.

LFD Off-Road Prototype GX460 rear bumper

Expedition One has 20% off for first responders and I can do a local pickup. I'm about ready to pull the trigger on a bumper. Guess someone has to guinea pig the thing.

LFD Off-Road Prototype GX460 rear bumper

Interesting, been looking at rear bumper options and it looks like MetalTech and Expedition One might be the only good looking current options for 2014+ 460s. Dobinson looked like a good product at the price point, but the other thread floating around here scared me off. I'm almost tempted to...

Ironman Classic on GX460 and HF Apex Winch

Looking at install photos it looks like with the classic bumper the cradle ends up sitting lower to the ground then the premium bumper. I think I am going to have to reroute the cooling lines or something to get the room I need to get almost anything to fit in the premium cradle.

Anyone installed one yet? It looks like some cooling lines need to be relocated.

    FREE OEM GX460 Shocks/coils takeoffs.

Put some pro cells on my 2015 GX460. These have 40k miles on them, was going to see if anyone has a need for them before I toss them. Front and rear available.
