Hey all, looking at upgrading to a larger radiator but I’m stumped on the part numbers and which one is which with the hzj79s having the early ones with the smaller rad vs the later having larger (same as hdj79)

Hey all, just finishing up an ac install in a fj73 that is now a hzj73.
All the ac parts are from a hzj79, and I just need to know what wires/ parts to cut/adapt to get rid of the idle up function and rpm functions as it was petrol and gas swapped to diesel so the tacho doesn’t work anymore...

Took the calipers apart fully and have given it all a clean, all the rubber seals are in good condition and from what I can see the pistons are good too happy to hear everyone’s thoughts on if I can just put it all back together again, not sure about the bores of the pistons though

Yeah aftermarket, I’ve reverse flush the heater core but definitely worth doing the radiator too. I’ll have a look at the pressure tester too might be worthwhile.

Engine oil just below full, no visible leaks after cleaning underbody and radiator. Levels all up to standard was put in early this year and pretty sure around the 2000s. Shouldn’t be any gunk but it’ll be worth flushing the radiator.

Temp gauges and only theory behind brakes is the previous drive I had to pull over due to the same issue but the brakes were smoking and since they’ve been bled again but still think they make be stuck slight on

Fj73 with 1hz-T in it, after installing a 80 series brake booster and master cylinder from a wreckers and changing all my oils the water temp is reaching 100 c on a normal freeway drive that would never normally happen and egts are getting up to 500-550c. Radiator is 2 years...
Yeah it might get to the point of a radiator shop I’ve got one not too far from me. Yeah I’ve been told it’s not a fun job to get to either.
