That is till you see the Pimp Cane and have to build one of those. ;)
Digging up old threads, but just was wondering if anyone knew if Edwin was still in the LC shop up in Pflugerville? I called and his number is disconnected and his site is down.
I would look around and find a better deal myself. I got a 95 with lockers with under 140k on it for 9k in H-Town less than a year ago. There are better deals out there, but there is something to be said about a clean well maintained low miles 80.
Same thing on my 80 when I got it. I raised the antenna and tweaked it a little to straighten it out and it has worked falwless since. It was just barley twaeked most likely from riding in the normal up position on freeway trips and such.
Might check the heat shield for the Cat to see if it needs tack welded in place. They tend to rattle. I got one of those annoying rattles in my cab at a stop at idle only when cold. It runs a little better when it warms up and the rattle goes away. It can be frustrating trying to locate. I just...
I see your point, but I do have my opinion also. The new FJ Cruiser is not the first 4 wheel drive geared towards the American wheeling enthusiast in 23 years. There are other makes that I will not mention. TT can cover all the Toy 4 wheel drives they want, but they need to change the name to...
Yep, i went to one of their meets. I agree, the majority of them were cool guy and gals, but one bad apple spoils the bunch. At least it did for me, and that's what matters to me. I can't say how others were treated at other events, but I can say how I was treated by the one individual. The FJ...
Yeah, it's high since I never felt the need to join up sooner, but now that I am in a club, they wanted me to join. No worries, I won't be renewing the memebrship since the mag, the only thing that I get out of the memebrship, is now dedicated to FJ Cruisers. Not to mention they are going to...
Those trail teams need to give more love to the old school FJ40's. Some of these kids are younger than my original, but they are out there promoting the new FJ with no knowledge of where it came from.
Bending some new pipe might be the best option. I can get my hands on a bender for free I think, but they sure make some funky turns. I guess I don't have to follow the original lines exactly. I'm thinking it's the heat. The rubber lines close to the engine fail first, which is what I'm...
I'll have to see if I have one small enough. I must have 10 of those gun cleaning kits around here somwhere. Everytime I go to clean a gun I can't find one and go buy another. There has to be something small emough or I can run over to Academy and buy something.
Bad thing is I got a run to...
That sounds like a good iead. I was thinking of some more in the line of a real small wire brush and I could attach to some wire and run it through and pull the brush in behind the wire and kind of scour and clean the inside after a couple of passes with the brush. Then a good compressed air...
What kind of fuel line does everyone use? Anything besides that cheap standard NAPA stuff I have been using. I by-passed all my orginal linesa dn ran rubber fuel lines for everything. Only problem is, every 12 -18 months the ends crack and it starts leaking and I have to go in and re-splice the...
