With the ambulance doors, there are a few different options I would suggest. The easiest option would be license plate mount that would be offset, but with the 140* viewing angle from the camera I would expect it to still provide solid visibility...
It looks like you still have a fair amount of adjustment in the cable to take some of that slack out, I would start there. On page AT-13 & AT-26 in the FSM there is good info on how/where it should be adjusted
I dont know if I would trust the tape alone with that panel.
On our Yukon XL we went with a Cascadia 4x4 hood panel that has been great for the last few years with no issue and is only attached via 3M VHB.
Going with something like this would be a bit cleaner and better for the application...
