Had the #5 Cycl blow out the plug awhile back while driving. Motor shut down and coasted to a parking spot. Towed it home the next day and the motor wouldn't turn over once we checked things out. The spark plug was broken and the coil was damaged as well. Disassembled the front of the motor...
Hey guys, venturing into some unchartered territory here and could use some solid advice.... I need to replace my ECM in my 2002 100 series. I have the new ECM (used) and have techstream and have read the Toyota T-SB-0134-16 for flashign a new ECM. Has anyone actually done this before. I dont...
Flint, about to do another starter, this one is on my 2002 lx470, hopefully this one will only need contactors/ plunger and not the brushes. But i will inspect them while im going through it. The last one i did was on my 99 LC and that was about 4-5 years ago and still going strong.

ok, so have a stripped #5 spark plug hole in drivers side head in my 2002 lx470. Does anyone know of an 06 4runner with the same 2uz-fe will be a compatible donor? I know the 2uz-fe motors changed specs sometime after 04 i think, the cams on the front look different but just wondering if the...
Might try that and see if it does anything. I’ve heard that before when a starter is on the fritz. But this one hasn’t shown any signs of failure ( yet).
