the security light goes out too when i put the key in the ignition. So dont think its related to the immobilizer.

thanks, yeah, my experience with immobilizers are that the vehicle will still crank just will not start. so, i haven't gone down that route as of yet.

Flint, about to do another starter, this one is on my 2002 lx470, hopefully this one will only need contactors/ plunger and not the brushes. But i will inspect them while im going through it. The last one i did was on my 99 LC and that was about 4-5 years ago and still going strong.

Yeah checked all those. And double checked when replacing the 100a block fuse on the positive cable. All is good and tight and fully charged
