Regarding the lower sitting in coolant for 3 years, no I've changed the oil a couple years back, that's how I found out water contaminated the oil. It has oil in the crank case, could stand to use another change I suppose

Im looking to take My 1997 LC ( 267K 1FZFE inline 6) to a shop to have The head resurfaced and appropriate gaskets replaced. Ive seen similar post, but from 10 to 15 years ago. any idea what it might run ( low to high end of price) it overheated and i pulled it over and limped it home after...

Sadly upstream ships after christmas**

I took thermostat out and it puked a bunch it was pretty diluted. I Will drain it again if they don't have coolant, don't want block to crack. Here's a pic of the down stream o2. Sadly that one ships after christmas

got parts except the up stream o2 sensor, if i put the down stream o2 sens in, will that be like putting a dead battery in with a charged batter? going to install parts and try it out. will keep ya in the loop. supposing this works, i forgot to buy coolant, can i fill it with water just long...

me neither, tried smelling it, couldnt detect coolant, but maybe it cooked off.

all look pretty much like the second picture #6 is the smaller something gunked up spark plug. i put them all back in, but i have new plugs ordered/ waiting at auto part store #6 cylinder ( very back/aft ) is scummy plug

Top plug is #6. Can't tell if it's greasey fuel/oil or coolant. 6 cyclinder is not like the rest.

dont think there was a head gasket replacement, not since i owned it at 119k, now has miles 265k. will reread his posts
