Rear spring mount equivalents - i hope

Living where they use salt on the roads and with the vehicle having spent most of its life where they really use salt on the roads the rust battle is constant. This time it's the rear spring mounts. As we all know these are part of the axle tube and not separate. I'm considering getting the...

New brake booster...it's a saga now

honestly i hadn't even thought about abs vs non being an issue for the booster given it's effectively 'behind' the master cyclinder the system so all it does is push. I'll do a fluid replacement as well ast the same time (and the clutch!) so off to get 5l of dot 3. Will also do the brake...

New brake booster...it's a saga now

thanks for the tip! The aus ones are all out of stock and do look suspiciously like being made of finest Chinesium! If it the 60803 i'm trynig to get. I'll see how the pedders one works out when it arrives. Just trying to source some new hose to go with it (while i'm in there etc...) Can...

New brake booster...it's a saga now

ok. I'm fairly sure my booster has had it (it sighs when pressed...and has done for a while) - the car stops, but not as promptly as i'd like. New master cylinder a couple of years ago and calipers. Now Mr T won't sell you one and Terrain Tamer say they don't have a model that supports ABS...

Pictures and measurements needed - PLEASE!

A quick update. My welding man is busy until Feb so necessity being the mother of invention i fabb'd up an interim soln. 3mm plate, plasma cutter and a gass free MiG (suppose that makes it an M?). Cut out the rotten bit and weld on the new little box section. Not the prettiest, but enough...

Well it looks like the bit and i've got a UPS number. Regardless it's somewhat better than what's attached to the car at the moment. I'm assuming it's made of a gold / unobtainium alloy though.

looks like i've found a man who can get the bits - rust free is the claim! - he sources them from middle east breakers so less chance of salt on the roads... Not cheap, but if it works then happy days!

Just as a silly question - would i be able to run without the rear panhard? I have an '88 Range Rover and have just done the suspension - that has the same control arm setup, but no panhard at the rear.

i'm looking jealously at your almost mint 51502-60010.... my new antiroll bar arrived this morning. Couldn't put new bushes onto the old one or they'd be ground to dust in the first 50 yds!

Thanks guys - that's really helpful. I've taken one final punt on a new bit from Genuine OEM Toyota Parts and Accessories Online - Toyota Parts Deal - https://www.toyotapartsdeal.com/ . They say it's in stock.... if not then it's Mr MiG and his friend 3mm Plate Man to the rescue

Morning! In my task of renewing varies rusty bits (there are a few...) and sorting the bushes, i need to replace the rear panhard bracket on the chassis side. Many, many attempts with parts suppliers and Mr T himself say it is no longer made (51502-60010) so i'll have to get my welding man...

    Suspension replacement on rusty 92

Fair dos. This is the list i've assembled of bolts and nuts. Washers i'm not inclined to pay Mr T's prices... if your'e in the UK toyota have a direct shop on ebay that will assemble a specific quote for you. Let's see what the random number generator comes back with! Just in case useful to...

    Suspension replacement on rusty 92

Interesting about to redo all bushes including anti-rolls. Does anyone have a listing of all the bolts i need as the old ones (i suspect....) will be rusted to hell and it'll be Mr Reciprocator to remove them. Also need to replace the chassis bracket for the rear panhard as it sheared!
