Living where they use salt on the roads and with the vehicle having spent most of its life where they really use salt on the roads the rust battle is constant.
This time it's the rear spring mounts.
As we all know these are part of the axle tube and not separate. I'm considering getting the 5mm plate and MIG out and fabbing some, but i've seen similar weld-on parts for 120 series and 95 series. Now the question for you good folks - which of these are likely to fit an 80 series? Is the rear axle on a 90 or 120 the same diameter as an 80? Slight height difference i can cope with, but am i going to be in the right ballpark with either of these or should i get fabbing?
Or does anyone have a perfect set they can cut off and send to me for fair compensation?!
