Got a little stove for free today. I’ve never used the liquid fuel stuff before. It’s brand new so I assume it works, I’ll give it a try in the spring.
If the hose is rated properly for the exhaust temperatures at the tailpipe, it could serve double duty. Mostly stored in the rear passenger fender, cut an exit hole under the truck and connected to the tailpipe to pressurize the cabin in dusty environments.
Could put some loctite 55 “thread floss” on it for some extra hold. It sucks at doing what it’s supposed to, but it’s good for keeping bolts from rattling out.
Never tried it on a plug tho.
I don’t think welding the adjusters in place is a very good idea.
But if you did do it I wouldn’t worry to much about getting technical with it and just tack around it with any old welder. You don’t need the world’s best weld to keep a nut from turning.
I’m sure you’ll get it. Just having to push really hard on old brittle plastic feels like walking a fine line. But it works. The little original Toyota clamps even worked with the stuff I bought at the parts store for a couple bucks a foot.
