    Alternator/battery issue?

Hi folks, I have an 06 Lx 139k, oem alternator replaced about a year ago. On drive in to work (high 30s/low 40s) today in MA, I noticed that battery dash light came on....only when I flipped on the headlights. Car sat in lot all day during work and started right up when I left work, and fm...

    Totaled? 05 LX

Best wishes with sorting the damage out. That rig needs to stay on the road. I will make a note to steer clear of driving in Atlanta.

    Totaled? 05 LX

Is it like driving the wild west down there in Georgia? Are these rust free Southern rigs? I'm tearing up.

P1442, P1445 - Secondary Air Intake Advice Needed

Unless you have physical limitation and are unable to do it, I'd recommend just doing it your self. The bypass module install is very simple and will only take a couple of minutes. Toughest part of this is removing the starter fuse for the relay wire. The block off plates are a little more...

    Found this '04...

Local to me too cbeckfj, I saw this pop up. I own an 06 but can’t help myself and still look for spare 100 series, lol. An addiction. I agree it has to have some type of undercarriage rust living up here with those miles. Good luck, I hope everything turns out well for you though. It does look...

06/07 Air Induction Pump Failure & Bypass

Update: Freezing temps yesterday in MA. I heated up the LX, turned off, then turned back on a preheated engine. Drove up to 60 mph shortly thereafter. No CEL thrown. This has to be the cold weather glitch Hewittech mentions on his site. This is an inconvenience and I’d love to resolve this but...

06/07 Air Induction Pump Failure & Bypass

I am thinking this is likely what happened. It was cold this am, and I started the car and hit over 50 soon thereafter, and I only probably noticed the cel close too work. Fingers crossed. The Toyota secondary air injection system sucks big time.

06/07 Air Induction Pump Failure & Bypass

Thanks for your input Jimthom. I hope a glitch is the culprit. The bypass was flawless until today. CEL threw about 20 minutes into ride, not at start up and it DID go into limp mode (I was just pulling up the drive to the office) I reset it at work (where I am now) with my bluedriver code...

06/07 Air Induction Pump Failure & Bypass

Well I am 2 months post the bypass with block plates on an 06 LX and unfortunately I threw a p2445 code again (this was the code I originally threw prompting the bypass) driving into work today. This is with the hewittech system and relay. I am going to double check the relay and wiring but...

Vibration at stop only when transmision is in drive?

I baselined my 06 LX several months back after purchase with all new fluids, TB/WP, etc. Rig has 121k on it, I am the third owner. This is my second LX, last was an 05 that unfortunately was totaled. Not too long after getting it back from the Toyota dealer I noticed that while in drive sitting...

06/07 Air Induction Pump Failure & Bypass

One full month after Hewittech bypass install, still no problems :), knock on wood, been using the LX as my DD this past month.

06/07 Air Induction Pump Failure & Bypass

So I installed the v36h kit. Plug in play is a cinch. The block off plates, like most things in life you do the first time, were a pain in the neck. I came at them from both fender wheelwell and underneath after removing the plastic skid plate. Used lots of pb blaster and other penetrating...

06/07 Air Induction Pump Failure & Bypass

06 LX 120K, yesterday at cold start truck threw CEL and promptly went into limp mode. Barely made it to work with that damn limp mode. Pulled a p2445 code, Toyota dealer wants $1800 to fix. Thanks to this awesome MUD post I promptly called up Paul at Hewitttech right after I got off the phone...
