[CLOSED] Alu-Innovations Troopy Pop Top Group Buy Interest

Here are some pics of where we needed up. Put on four of the alucab low profile bars. I haven’t measured yet, but the bars sit on the tracks and add probably about an inch. Box is still empty, probably around 20 lbs on top total. I can tell a difference on the opening and closing but not by...

I like that approach. From the research I've done I think the Alu-cab bars are the best option and should fit not problem on the Alu-innovations top. I'm curious about the weight, it is genuinely hard to shut our top now, and Karri can't do it on her own. I'm hoping *some* weight up there will...

Great approach, I will likely do something similar. Your build is coming along nicely!

I like that idea for the solar. L brackets from the rails to the frame of the panels. We have a Roam box I'd like to mount towards the rear. Thinking I need a platform or a couple cross bars to distribute the load a bit more and to offer more connection points. So far the All-Cab flat bars look...

    Alternator wiring advice

Appreciate this, went ahead and did this fix over the weekend. Spent a lot of time cleaning the stud coming off the alternator as well. Mudandrock, you are correct too, lots of ingenuity in solving problems in most of the places these rigs are run, my driveway included. Replaced a lot of...

    Alternator wiring advice

I probably misspoke on the ammeter it might just be a volt meter. It’s a 1991 75 series with a 1HZ. South American. Coming off the alternator the charge wire goes into a loom that heads through the firewall before re-emerging and connecting to the battery.

[CLOSED] Alu-Innovations Troopy Pop Top Group Buy Interest

Hey all, the days are getting longer and I am getting more and more excited for Troopy trips. Has anyone worked out a roof rack or other roof top storage on top of the pop-tops? Looking for ways to put come solar up top as well as a box for lighter infrequent use items (hiking boots, tents etc.)

    Alternator wiring advice

Wanted to add some more details and seek some more advice. I think there may be more going on that just replacing a connection. While we are driving around, occasionally the three lights that denote an alternator issue (oil pressure, timing) come on. Sometimes they will flash in time with the...

    Alternator wiring advice

Hi all, looking for some advice from the collective expertise. The charging connection coming from our alternator keeps failing. I’ve cleaned it up and changed loops twice now. There is evidence of heat and corrosion. I’d like to replace the wire completely with a lower gauge, but it goes into...

Has anyone mounted any awnings to their pop-top yet? We had two on the roof rack, a Joolca ensuite and a Ironman 270, that I would like to mount to the pop top. Much harder than I expected finding brackets that will work.

What did you do on your 70 series today?

Just some cosmetic stuff, making the passenger door mono-chromatic. Can’t quite understand why they shipped me handles without the matching screw covers.

    Events/Trails PNW Meetup?

Beautiful, sorry I missed it, didn’t get on here for a bit. Will try and join the scouting trips next month if the schedule allows.

SOLD Ironman roof rack - Central Oregon or Portland area

Not sure on the difference on the feet. I would assume these would be the 78 feet, since it was on our 75. I can give them a measure next time I'm over in Sisters, but it will likely be a couple weeks. I could also probably give the folks at Ironman 4x4 USA a call. They are very friendly and...
