I took a look at the 80 series post regarding the high clearance rear bumpers. The end looks different on the 80 than it does on the 100 series (80 series looks like a piece of sheet metal while the 100 series looks more like a housing. That would definitely be the end result though.
Hi all,
Just wondering if anyone on here has attempted to cut out the lower rear quarter and welded something in place of it (i.e. flat plate)? If so what are/were some issues that you ran into?
I understand there might be a drain that will need to be rerouted.
Pic for reference:
I have a nasty header leak and it's about time I get it fixed. However, I've ran into the issue of being unable to find them.
I've emailed Doug Thorley about them and the email I received was:
"Thank you for your interest in Doug Thorley Headers! This part number is not currently in stock and...
For those who happen to enjoy driving a manual transmission and made a swap over to a 3rd gen tacoma (or have it as a second vehicle), I have a few questions for you!
1. Do you regret making the change?
2. If you have both, what do you enjoy driving more?
3. Upgrade or downgrade? (probably a...
I ran 6.5" in the front for woofers and 4" in the rear doors. I only had to cut a few things off the factory housing and the supplies brackets with the new speakers.
Front speakers are Focal 165AS3
Rear speakers are Focal 100AC
Subwoofer is a P25F
The rear speakers are a tad bit quiet compared to the fronts. The front speakers sound amazing! I wish I did a comparison to my old speakers but it wouldn't be a good baseline. My subwoofer, 1x woofer, 1x mid...
I replaced all my speakers and added a mono amp to power a subwoofer in the back. The blue rca is extra cable for the future when I upgrade the head unit (I have nav and HVAC so I can't simply drop in a replacement at the moment).
Thank you very much. I followed your direction and managed to get everything working. The tip about the numbers on the connector really helped since you don't really notice them unless you look for them.
No worries! Just a bit more digging on my end. Definitely glad that I am finally getting closer! I'm not very familiar with electrical diagrams, can I ask you to confirm if this is the ACC wire (highlighted and circled in purple).
I also tried to use a multimeter but failed horribly.
Thanks Jerry, is this the diagram you are referring to? I had to change my keywords in the search to find the exact thread you were pointing me towards. Glad I was able to find it.
Hello!
I've been cross searching a few Lexus forums and ih8mud for a wiring diagram on the mark levinson amplifier that comes factory with the 2004 lx470. There has been no luck and I have decided to create a thread.
By any chance, does anyone have a wiring diagram of where the ACC wire is?
