I have installed an aftermarket under the dash heater/defrost unit and I have purchased a used OEM windshield frame that does have the proper cut outs. I still need to paint it and finish the install.

I have a sniper on my fj40. Made a world of difference! I also have a long range tank as well. Excellent modifications.

My rig is a South American spec vehicle and does not have defrost or heat. I have been slowly fixing this. The next step in this puzzle is the correct windshield frame that has the cut outs in it that allow defrost. I split time between SF Bay Area of California and Seattle area of Washington...

Thanks fortunately I am camping for the next month and I don’t have a tape measure with me. But I’ll see what I can figure out.

Thanks everyone, my windshield frame does not have any cutouts for defrost. One thought I had is to go with a DC-AC inverter and plug in a hairdryer :)
