Right now there's 560lbs of constant weight then an extra 60-75lbs of gear when we go out. I think I'm going to go ahead and snag some RCI sliders since they are on sale right now so that brings my constant weight up to 680ish lbs now. Still think the 329s are the move? The front sitting higher...
@crikeymike Got some questions before ordering a kit on your site!
I'm looking to keep 2.5" lift but fine with a slight rake (back being higher). No weight on the front but around 625lbs of weight between the Alu Cab stuff, gear, spare tire carrier, etc... For the MRR kit would these springs...
It is the stock hitch but I'm ordering one of the JW high clearance hitches and selling this one. Once it gets here I'll trim up the bumper and put it back on.
I've always got new rigs every 3-4 years but with rates and prices how they are now I just can't stomach to do it again. Plus I just love this GX as it's taken me and my family all over the place and I kind of want to see how much further I can take it...
It's got right around 180k miles on it...
My unit / screen just goes black randomly. Before I replaced my alternator it was doing it 1 out of every 3-4 trips and had to turn the car on / off to work again. Since doing the alternator about 10 months ago it probably happens once a month now so it's manageable.
Just bought my second X2 battery after 6 years on my last one that went from my Tacoma to GX460.
That was also only because after replacing alternator the Lexus dealer told me my battery was the cause of my head unit cutting out... and it's still cutting out. I used it as a starter and house...
I did the radiator probably 5k miles ago and went with a direct replacement from Lexus.
Got the new starter in and that peace of mind is so nice. Headed out for a trip in about an hour.
I’ve had the Dobinsons IMS for close to 100k miles and really enjoyed them. It’s time for a refresh and I may go same route again but also curious what some other options are in that range.
168k miles here and was humming fine until 155k then: starter, radiator and alternator all went out fairly close to each other. The KDS cylinder in front has been popping for a while as well but I just keep ignoring that for now.
Nope. No grinding at all or clinks at all. I'm trying to find a pattern with when it happens but can't. It just seems random but happens 2/3 of the time now.
It's a 2016 w/ 165k miles on it and the screen on center console ( nav, ac, audio, etc... ).
That was me pressing the start button one time and it does that. It was obviously really cold that morning but even when it's been up in high 50s it's done it.
