8 months later. Got a lot of that cleaned but I’m wondering how much scaring on the oil pump gear and surface on the cover is ok? Should I get both new ? It’s not horrible but I feel like it’s not ideal.

Pretty cool! The handle probably won’t match the respray emerald grn that’s on it but it’s not chrome! Lol nicest paint on it will be this handle!

Oil pump screws are kicking my ass. Why a Phillips wth? They’re already rounded out a little bit too, it’s the best way to start.

I cleaned them both just case I find a stripped hole.

Cleaning this up is my goal this week. Got the head off the used motor to clean up a bit and figure out valve cover baffles as well as checking bolt holes and gasket surface prepping on the cover and upper oil pan.

lol I could go way more in detail of that trip it was crazy. Life experience for sure. No oil light ever came on that’s for sure.
