Ok, well I'm sorry to say I have a non stamped bezel and the top of the pintle is missing the socket has nothing inside of it it's just a flap. Sucks but thanks for the info

What is the pintle hook and trailer socket? What do you mean by stamped bezel??

New to this just got this FJ40 as a gift couple of weeks ago and found this registry data plate says 1962 fj40L Engine # F166537 Frame #2-fj40-15292

awesome Im curious myself. I have a 62 fj40 all of the pictures I see have it dash mounted and I dont have one either. I am totally new to anything carbureted. I hope you find out so I can do the same

Thanks you are absolutely correct. I wish I would have gotten into this years ago to find parts easier since it's a 1962, but it would have sat for years. Now that I'm retired I have a lot of time on my hands. This is gonna be a long haul adventure for me.

It starts and drives straight, drove around.

None but will find out when I start on this project.

The inside is in need of serious help. Any suggestions or advice is welcomed. I am not going to restore for showroom or antique purposes it will be my daily driver so there will be new and old incorporated.
