There was a little contact between the plastic cover which we cut and also appeared to be a bit of contact from the shock itself under compression so we spaced it out slightly with a washer. Also retorqued everything. Unfortunately noise is still there, drives me insane... Gonna throw a borla...
Have an annoying clunk coming from the drivers rear, started to notice it shortly after the suspension install. Upon inspection it appeared the swaybar endlinks were now shot so replaced them to with a set of longer Mstudt endlinks. Other three corners of the truck are significantly quieter...
Throwing in my new extended endlinks from MStudt. Feel like I have overtorqued the top mount on the rears. Can anyone provide me some guidance on how tight these should be, should the bushings be slightly deformed, not deformed at all, etc? Don't need an exact torque value, though that would...
This is what I'm coming up with
2nd gen 4 runner oem rear sway bar endlink (same part number both sides) - 4883035010
lexus oem front LH - 48810-60040
lexus oem front RH - 48820-60050
Apparently none of the above listed links come witih hardware so guess I've got to either reuse what I have...
Can anyone make a front and rear swaybar endlink recommendation for a 2.5inch lift? I've seen some guys stay OEM fronts but a longer rear. Any thoughts?
Didn't notice any issues with noise prior to lift, but endlinks are definitely shot now and causing a hell of a racket clunking down the...
What type of tire pressure are you guys with larger tires running? Discount recommended 40, it seems they always quote far too high, maybe 35 is reasonable?
All trimmed up. Went from being barely able to change lanes to no rubbing on the street. Probably require some more tweaking for off road but we shall see.
Got em mounted up today, obviously an extreme amount of rubbing in the front at this point. Got some serious cutting tonight as plan is to leave running boards on for time being...
Running Ironman FCP Suspension. Might have to wind up the coils on the front a bit.
Looks fantastic in...
Ride seems fine so far, little firmer up front which doesn't bother me one bit given how soft it was stock. Perhaps a bit of clunking in the back I need to track down. Haven't put many miles on because I'm waiting for alignment... no regrets from initial shakedown though, not too stiff.
Looks like 295/65-18 duratracs w/ 18x9 bronze method roost rims. Rims are backordered 90 days... Will leave the running boards on until I figure out sliders so that my kids/wife can get in easily.
