I forgot to mention that my wife is paying half so it's really only 15K out of my pocket! LOL

the major items were new radiator, hoses, T's, water pump, timing belt, steering rack and bunch of misc. fluids and parts.

that sounds about right, i was looking on BAT as well. I plan on putting another 5 or 6K into the rig for lift, tires, wheels and maybe a bumper or two.

What would you consider a good deal given the condition and maintenance that was performed? Dealer is selling and originally was asking 33K.

I found a blue 2005 LX470 with 105K and in mint condition, all stock and with 7K work of maintenance recently performed. Seller asking 31K. The paint and interior are in mint condition as well as the undercarriage. Is this a good deal? Considering this of a newer GX of same price point.

If it’s the early 94 should I update to the newer axles? Pretty sure I read they are stronger? Is it worth it? Not doing serious rock crawling but I do plan on taking it out on some good trails.

The cage that contained the bearings inside the birf is what it looked like

Brothers has a set of K2 axles and birfs for $450 and said labor would be $300 and they would even put in new grease and felts on the other joints.

We pulled the axle out on that side and did not see any other damage. I'm just worried that I am going to install a new axle and there be another issue somewhere else. I was thinking of taking to Brothers 4X4 in Montclair. Any suggestions? I think i can do the axle replacement but looking for a...
