    Charcoal Canister - Great Option!

Hey I recently replaced my charcoal with this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BNLJGFB7?tag=ihco-20 which I believe is a clone of he aforementioned GM part. Tight fit but it works and relieved my gas tank pressure.

Easy, inexpensive spare tire storage ideas?

Currently rocking this setup which works if you retighten the strap every few days. I’m assuming the thin strap doesn’t help. Should I use an upright tire tie down strap like those Baja trucks or is that overkill?

Easy, inexpensive spare tire storage ideas?

I tested the fit a few months ago and the tire hangs almost as low as the diff, which I didn’t love for the departure angle. (It’s worse in person)

Easy, inexpensive spare tire storage ideas?

I have the spare ratchet strapped upright like the bellfab unit right now so I’ll see how that works with all my gear on the next trip. Alternatively I’d like to look into raising that oem mount. I’m assuming you make spacers to raise the bracket a few inches?

Easy, inexpensive spare tire storage ideas?

Good afternoon, Trying to gather some ideas on how/where to store my spare 33” tire other than my trunk. It hangs way too low on the stock mount and I don’t want to spend $1000+ on a swing out bumper. I have access to a small harbor freight welder and very rudimentary capabilities so a complex...

    Stuck shock nut suggestions?

Yes, thank you sounds like I’m not crazy! If I face the same issue with the warranty shock I’ll try this out.

    Stuck shock nut suggestions?

Thanks for the replies. What happened is the washers didn’t seat correctly to the frame of the truck and I kept cranking on the nut until something in there stripped. I had a 9mm spanner on the top part of the stud so I know it’s not just spinning in the shock housing. I like the dremel idea...

    Stuck shock nut suggestions?

All good, the nut splitter barely made a mark on the nut before rounding itself out. What makes the whole thing tricky is all the important brake bits preventing an impact from getting in there. I could remove the booster and all but I’d rather not

    Stuck shock nut suggestions?

I’ve got an odd one for yall this morning, The stud on my my front driver (LHD) shock stripped before actually tightening. Ironman warrantied the shock which is great but now I can’t get the old nut off. Tried a nut splitter and those suck. I can fit a grinder/cutoff wheel in that space but...

    Clunk and death wobble

Thank you, this is super helpful! I’ll give these a check and report back. Bearing play would be wiggling the tire at 12 and 6 right? Or is there more to it. I’ve read about preload issues but they were done about 15k miles ago (if I remember correctly) by the PO

    Clunk and death wobble

How would one check the condition of the front panhard?

    Clunk and death wobble

I was thinking it could be a bearing I just find it odd that the only feedback I’m getting is steering wheel shake. No extra body vibration and the brake pedal is smooth. Even the steering is decent when on the gas at highway speed

    Clunk and death wobble

I’m going to swap in new tie rods as the current ones are original with 172k on them and have a bit of slop. I would have to assume this is contributing to the steering wheel shake as it is only in the wheel. My thinking is if it was all bushing related I would feel it more in the vehicle as...

    Clunk and death wobble

I was going to throw some loctite on there and realized I’m an idiot and put the bolts through backwards. As I was lying under the truck it seemed easier to slide them through from that side as there was more room to work. Was not thinking about the fact they are staked :censor: Could be...

    Clunk and death wobble

Yes, 2” Ironman lift The truck drove well this morning, little-to-no death wobble and no more clunk. I’ll check the torque again after a few drives to make sure it’s holding.
