Nomad Valve body A440F Feedback has anyone had issues

@CruiserTrash I had 15 years of trouble free running with the second VB from Wholesale. The other two units that were replaced received a clean bill of health once inspected at Wholesale. I found the mod to be well worth the cost and noticed an improvement in how the car drove immediately. The...

Nomad Valve body A440F Feedback has anyone had issues

Hmm, I have had three of these valve bodies installed over the years because the re-builders have insisted that they were the cause of my problems. Two of them sent back to Wholesale only to be told (via email) they serviced them and re-sold. At each swap out the issues remained the same. Even...

Nomad Valve body A440F Feedback has anyone had issues

G'Day guys, I'm off to the Magistrates court in the next few weeks to get a transmission builder to refund me the $5k I have spent with him on reconditioning an A440f. for my HJ61 The story is long and convoluted, so in a nut shell. Shop1, recons A440F, shocking slippage in lock-up, over heats...

A440F line pressure port thread size

After several months of getting the run around I finally have another shop that is helping me with this. The fitting of the transmission pressure gauge helped diagnose a pump fault. Line pressure is well below specs and therefore not enough pressure to maintain lock-up TC over heats. We are now...

Does anyone know what the thread size is for the line pressure port? I'm looking at fitting an in cab pressure gauge.to my HJ61. Sender units come with 1/8 NPT. Not sure if I will need an adapter. My last transmission re-builder has stuffed the recon twice in 12 months With this second fail he...

    HJ61 24v Dead short

After putting up with this for 24 years I decided it's time to sort it out. Up until now I have had a kill switch that cut of the earth lead from the battery to the body/engine. Worked really well every time I remembered to turn it off. I had a sparkie turn up yesterday and he could not find the...

    HJ61 Replace front hubs

Thanks kevin, I figured that once I started stripping down the old hub/rotor combo to shift the studs over to the new one. I still question why then did Toyota bolt them together and from what I can see still do. If I remember correctly though one of my vehicles in the past the rotors just slid...

    HJ61 Replace front hubs

I need some advice before I fit new hubs... I am re-building my front end, swivel hub bearings etc and decided to replace the front hubs too as I could see a pronounced groove where the seal sits at the back of the hub. Then though stuffit, I fit new rotors too. OnlineAutoParts are super good to...
