I did finally find something on YouTube which looks like will work for me, and ordered a Head Unit with the required RCA jacks for the factory amp. Here's the link: I love the guys wood look trim! Mine is a much grittier look :)

Me too! I want to add s Carplay/Android Auto head unit to my 2001 LC. Lots of units available on Amazon, but I’m also interested in what wiring harness and din adapter I might need. Has anyone out there done their own install or can recommend a YouTube video?

I've also been checking out EBAY. So confusing though as 2 different part numbers say they fit: 84306-12070 and 84306-08030 The problem is the vehicle is in Honduras, so hard to check for compatibility with old part :-(

Not sure if I need just the clockspring and/or the horn button. The horn works OK (I had local guy install a push button on steering column to sound horn) but finding the correct clockspring and horn button for my vehicle has been a challenge. Any suggestions for sources?

OK, got the adaptor and hooked it up to my OBD2 scanner and it said it couldn't link :-( Maybe I need a different scan tool? There was a bridging pin across a couple of pins in the diagnostic port that I had to remove in order to plug in the adptor, which I thought strange. Why is it there...

No, the brake is entirely off. I did have the clutch replaced a few months back, and since have noticed noise when in idle and the clutch is out. We changed the bearing but it's still there. I wonder if it's related somehow!/

I've been noticing a strong burning smell when reversing especially if going up a hill. I don't think I'm riding the clutch, but ...... Any other thing that might cause it? I noticed it again yesterday when on a flat surface, with foot off clutch

Problem fixed - so simple - while poking around under the hood I noticed the sensor was disconnected. I had a snorkel installed, so I assume while they were doing that they had to unplug it, but forgot to plug it in again :p

Why I couldn't find this previous post I don't know. So sorry for cluttering up the forum posts :-( This issue has only been showing for about two weeks, so it was cleared back in 2021. I didn't remember having the same problem once before - I'll just blame it on old age - but will look and see...

I have an amber warning light on my dash that I think may be related to the turbo. Looks kinda like a fan. I've searched online and none of the websites that showed the dashboard symbols had this symbol on them. Does anyone know of a website that shows all the symbols for a 100 series diesel LC?

Have you had a chance to install it yet? I ordered same on Ebay, but won't be here in Honduras for at least a month :-(

OK, my latest issue - after having the alarm (horn) come on randomly, is no horn at all. The guy I took it to hasn't yet checked about random alarm yet, which I suspect is a bad sensor somewhere(?), but checked horn and said it was the button on the steering wheel. Finding a fix is quite...
