    Build 62 FJ45 SWB

I have early (wartime and CJ2a) Jeeps and they unfortunately have significantly smaller air cleaners. Not sure if the 6 cyl Kaiser Hurricane motor has a bigger air cleaner.

This is very important advice, equally so the small freeze plugs behind the push rods. Both these 25mm plus let coolant into the oil.

    SD40 Big window Carb

Thank you for the inquiry but I have not seen these for sale again so I would like to keep them. For what it's worth, they came via Cyprus (so likely from the dealership in no-man's land) so that could get you in the ballpark of some.

Very clean work! On the clamp, I thought these that I bought were the correct style for the J4's at least?

79 Series - 30th Anniv Edition (Japan Spec) - Suspension Lift Kit - Help!

FYI, V6 Cruisers are still in production and available new in certain markets. Even the venerable 1Hz is still being produced new by Toyota and fitted to J7 series Cruisers, the latter though comes with a lighter duty R series gearbox.

79 Series - 30th Anniv Edition (Japan Spec) - Suspension Lift Kit - Help!

We do V6 Cruiser suspensions bi-weekly vs V8 / 2.8 daily. Use the lightest spec (thus OME 2856) coils up front. All other bits are specced the same as the others, except that the V6 always has twin rear brake hoses while the others ran a single line so no brake line drop bracket. The V6 will...

What is this part and what does it do???

Agreed on the 12H04. A steel case Echlin 2 prong flasher (I think Napa sells them Stateside) fits either in the OEM clamp or you can gut the round OEM housing and hide it in there. Modern flashers hidden inside OEM cases fix all flasher ground/resistance gremlins immediately without further...

Am I stupid to buy this?

I hear you. I have 40's and 43's too, albeit very early and earlier models. The 43's are more for the novelty of having them and I don't see a major advantage. In a 180 turn from your world, 45's are abundant and relatively cheap here (we don't suffer structural rust issues) with a cleanish...

Am I stupid to buy this?

I'm 6'4", own a good few 45's and 47's and have driven them up to 300 miles at a time. Cabin space is the lesser issue by far, unless you have a big gut. OEM seat construction and padding, ride quality, lack of power steering and aircon coupled with 90 degree+ weather are far bigger items. But...

    Build 79-series Mongrel build

If ever you need a lockable console again, albeit in RHD configuration in relation to tye parking brake, they are available here in South Africa from a few different manufacturers in a few styles, including false floors with the locks hidden and less easily accessible than the Tuffy unit shown.

    Saudi FJ45 - Help requested

Most General Market 45's (and others like GCC) don't have A pillar data plates, only the firewall data plates. This does not make it wrong. As a general not and not aimed at you, but keep in mind that just because something is found on US trucks does not mean the rest of the world had...
