Yes, you need to remove that. It’s only 4 nuts to the intake and the clamp on the other side. Be careful of the gasket on the intake side. You can reuse it as long as it doesn’t tear.

Slee with dual swing outs, I didn’t have the ladder on at the time, but it still fits. That is a big pig KTM 530, I carry a Beta 300RR now with no problem.
