    GX470 Wheel/Tire/Lift Picture Combination Thread

To be honest...I haven't made a measurement. I can say it's enough to clear 34x11 tires with no cutting on anything. I've got about an inch of clearance at the body mount.

    GX470 Wheel/Tire/Lift Picture Combination Thread

Thanks! I haven't measured it at all. It's higher in the rear than it should be since I don't have enough weight on the rear for the springs. But I have a steel bumper and roof rack in the works...

    Metaltech Pegasus Bumper DISASTER

Hard read on many levels...both in content and presentation. I was hoping to use this bumper...might have to rethink that decision. Please keep us posted!

What Did You Do With Your 120 Today?

Looks great. Gonna need a report on how the Kenda's are treating you in the spring when I am ready to buy tires. They are #1 on my list of the myriad of tire options at the moment. And you are running the same size I plan to run...

What Did You Do With Your 120 Today?

Didn't "do" anything with the GX today. But took a huge step towards lifting it by ordering all new Dobinsons MRA suspension for it!

    Wheel alingnment after 2" lift

Outer edge wear is usually a camber misalignment. Usually camber out (away from the frame) at the top of the tire.

    Wheel alingnment after 2" lift

Haven't lifted mine yet...but what I keep hearing is to max out the caster and set everything else back to factory specs. But honestly...I am repeating what I have heard without empirical evidence or experience.

2008 GX470 VS 2008 FJ CRUISER (WHICH WOULD YOU KEEP?) SEE PICTURE!!!

This...exactly the point I meant. If I bought both...I'd probably have a plan to keep both. Add me to the agreement list on selling the FJ...it's meant to be offroad. Actually...add me to the list in saying sell both and get something cool to commute in. I can afford to feed my GX...and have...

Why sell either one? If you love them both...keep them both.

    GX470 Wheel/Tire/Lift Picture Combination Thread

At most the tent will cause you 1/4" loss of height. Depending on what coil conversion you use (I am using the SSO one), you can get that loss back with a shim. Both the SSO and the Dobinsons coil conversion add lift...1/2-3/4" of lift.

    GX470 Wheel/Tire/Lift Picture Combination Thread

Sounds about right...I am planning to run the 352 springs on the front with front bumper and winch. Probably the 327's for the rear with a big single swing rear bumper. Depending on the weight of the tent...you might want to go up one level in spring in the back.

Aggressive Wheel Offset - Not-so-apparent Issues?

Great info...and much appreciated. More than likely the running boards will be gone and the front bumper will be changed out before these wheels go on...so maybe that will minimize the chances of rubbing. Will probably do the BMC between taking the running boards off and installing rock...

    Pandemic Price Check? 2007 GX470

You wouldn't like the price I paid for my 2004 here near ATL...but I got exactly what I wanted. And other than a set of leaky valve covers that I fixed by retorquing the bolts...it has been absolutely flawless. Took me over a year to find my rig...but when I did I jumped all over it. Probably...

Aggressive Wheel Offset - Not-so-apparent Issues?

Thanks...that's why I posted this on here. I understand about the scrub angle, and the change in vehicle dynamics. But your setup is really close to what I intend to run...albeit 1/4" wide each side. Did you find it necessary to flatten the pinch weld? Any other rub points I should keep in mind?
