    Brake Rotor Warping, recently replaced

To close the loop for now, I replaced all brake pads and rotors with new oem. Hub runout was normal. Everything feels back to normal for now about 2k miles in. Will see how long they last this time…

    Brake Rotor Warping, recently replaced

Yeah it’s just a descent from 8000 ft to 2000 ft, just a local mountain.

    Brake Rotor Warping, recently replaced

Yeah that is possible, I don’t abuse them but due to coming down a mountain periodically and high ambient temperatures through 1/3 of the year it is definitely a possible the pad is getting clamped on hot rotors etc at stop lights. It is unclear to me if it is better to brake for a long distance...

    Brake Rotor Warping, recently replaced

Thanks, yeah I don’t think this is uneven pad deposits, a bedding procedure did nothing. My use is probably heavier than most street use as I live next to a mountain, and coming down is largely highway speed with some intermittent curves. It is possible that is what did it. My deeper worry is...

    Brake Rotor Warping, recently replaced

Hello, while I have seen other threads in the past about similar issues, few to none of them have an actual conclusion, though I have seen things like caliper replacement thrown around. Mostly just wondering if others have had the issue of the car rapidly warping rotors etc. I purchased my lx...

LX570 AHC “Basics” - Added as sticky thread for AHC Issues

Just to add some data points. In my experience about 80% of dealer service advisors have zero clue that ahc fluid replacement is part of the default recommended 60k/6 year service (it is, if the terms of your purchase cover the scheduled service items, they should do it). In the substantially...

New to the forum -- in the market for an LX570 in the next 12-18 months

I would still keep low mileage in mind if looking for an lx and it is within budget. A lot of the preventative maintenance you will need to do at 100k+ miles will add a significant time and effort to get things up to par (provided you can do the work yourself). If you need brakes / fluids /...

    Tire Pressure recommendation

Hi @gaijin - would it be possible to verify the RCTIP for a set of 285/60/r18 Michelin defender ltx m/s2 120h (xl) on a 2020 lx 570? A calculator I used suggests 27 psi, but visually with 33 psi nearly 1/3 of the tire sidewall is visibly compressed on flat pavement.

LX 570 Vibration at Highway Speed

Ok, now for the true conclusion. If you have an LX 570 and are unhappy with the ride, I would very strongly recommend changing to 17-18” wheels. I swapped to 200 series takeoffs and Michelin defender ltx m/s 2 in the oem size for the wheels (xl, not e load). That and a properly done road force...

LX 570 Vibration at Highway Speed

Yeah looking at defender ltx ms2, but not the e metric option. My occasional off-road use is 90% washboard gravel, not rock crawling.

LX 570 Vibration at Highway Speed

No, trying to just mildly improve ride over tiny road defects etc.

LX 570 Vibration at Highway Speed

A lot of these threads have gone silent over the years so here is likely my conclusion: I now believe most of this is just how the late model year lx 570s ride on 21” wheels. Due to their size and the weight of the vehicle I would guess they very easily warp or develop slight irregularities...

LX 570 Vibration at Highway Speed

Thanks, will check them out after done ruling out balancing issues. Taking elsewhere for balancing with oem wheels / the new tires tomorrow. If that doesn’t work will change to oem tundra 18” wheels with a new set of defenders in stock lc 200 size. If that fails I think the probability of it...

LX 570 Vibration at Highway Speed

... this is what terrifies me... seems like a high probability this will never get resolved (after I spend 3k on wheels / tires + tpms change / rebalancing / realignment etc)... https://www.clublexus.com/forums/lx-3rd-gen-2008-2021/987440-2016-lx-steering-wheel-vibration-issue.html

LX 570 Vibration at Highway Speed

So, to be clear, any vibration through the steering wheel on a perfectly smooth highway at 74-80 mph isn't normal? Here is a video. Now that the brakes are out of the picture I was able to replicate it on a very smooth patch of highway, for some reason, while reproducible, it doesn't (visibly -...
