Swapped out all of the plugs with OEM ones. Ordered a window belt molding kit and a manual antenna from ASR Parts and grabbed the plugs to get free shipping!

1000% agree. I often think about this and it goes in a giant circle in my head....have stock engine rebuilt....or LS swap....or better yet a diesel swap....meh, better to keep it Toyota.....so just find a HDJ81....but I love the one I have, RHD sucks blah blah. Does it ever stop??
Been a couple of months since I used the double nut trick and everything seems to be holding! I haven't been on a long road trip but plenty of highway driving and a short 2 hour trip and no leaks. I think I'm free to reinstall my washer bottle!
Both times mine were installed with new gaskets and hardware. The first time on my roadtrip it backed off all the way and I lost the nut and washer on the road somewhere.

That's good to hear. Do you recall what size the gaskets were at the flange connections from header to downpipe? I think I'll try to replace those with new hardware as well and see how it goes. I saw another post where the guy used a little longer bolts and double nutted them to keep them...
