I've crashed the cab of my very complicated rig last year (the cab was IIRC 1995 LHD 1HD-T), bought a new (..well :D) 1992 LHD 1HZ poverty pack and had the 92 cab moved to my chassis. I know my mechanic was complaining about different front seat mount points apart the things mentioned above...
Hi, no, sorry. I'm overseas, and in any case I'm putting my original viscous TC back. Love it in the snow. I'm sure it'll fit then, the length difference between the two cases is the same as what I'm missing in driveshaft. Thanks though :)
I can send you a 93 electronic a442f, if you wanna be in a different world of trouble 🙃
Jokes aside. Dunno your symptoms but as little as I know about this tranny (installed it 5 days ago), the most common by a laaaarge margin is supposed to be a weak kickdown cable (or just poorly...
The hydraulic one is PRND32L, the electronic PRND2L shifter
EDITED, actually not sure about cooling lines. I'm pretty sure my old electronic tranny had cooling lines on the left. The hydraulical one I have now is on the right. Hell, gotta find out when I see my old one in the barn. The shifter...
Replaced the manual tranny to a fully hydro automatic. Yay! 13 hours of work for 3 people. Problems:
- next time make sure to check which plate belongs between the tranny and an engine, so we don't have to cut a hole for converter screws
- there's nowhere to connect the kickdown cable (it shifts...
@landtank pm sent
I think he's already cried many times and it's not over yet. Nobody's touching the engine for example; yeah it's a tough one to destroy but heck. I'll have some pictures later maybe; I'm really proud of my mechanic for his work on the frame; everything is either zinc coated or...
Oh the truck is in pieces. Cab here, frame & engine there, axles elsewhere :))
The only problem is the owner is really getting frustrated over this money subject. He's bought it for like USD 14000 and he's in another 10k in parts & work already. I'll see how it turns out :)
.. and here we go

apparently there have been people using it.
Again I know it's not a correct solution. If it were my truck I would buy the correct birfs as well. Not my truck, just want to be helpful here as the owner is...
Oh it's not like the washer would be tightened against the flange, but against the birf shaft; there still would be small (<2mm) lateral play as it's when secured by the c-clip. The birfield body should not be tightly pressed against the spindle. If so, the washer would need to be machined with...
Hi all :)
So yesterday we were replacing everything on a friend's 1995 front end. Deal was he gets the parts, we do the work (I get a transmission replace work in exchange, looking forward to that!)
He got new birfs, seal kit, all good, let's go.
After everything was back in, the spline won't...
After all this hassle it was the relay that was faulty. IDK, must have died halfway through my attempts as I specifically checked it working. Replaced with a generic one (for the moment, I need to pass the state technical check up..). The brake light turned out to be the brake switch. There is...
So. Dug through the wiring remains from 24V, found a single blue fusible link that went to MAIN on the plastic covered terminal; the other one (GLOW) connected as well. There is apparently no connector for the round one; also it seems rather oxidized as if it never actually was connected ...
