I could use the metal threaded piece and two good turn signal housing that are not stripped out. I realize I can buy new housing however the 62 is so original I don’t want a shinny new piece on it. The LV turn signal housing is also stripped out.
Thank you for the offer. I was not aware that the threaded end of the rod was separate from the long rod. I don’t have an early 40’s manual. So, what I need is this piece below if you have one. Without a hole. lol
I need of a column shift rod for my 1962 fj40. Must be in good condition. Mine was drilled and tapped.

On the 1962 fj40 the shift rod was stripped from the turn signal housing. Someone drilled it to pin it however it doesn’t shift correctly. I pulled the wheel and housing to replace and saw that the threaded part on the rod is more square than round. So what I thought would be a quick and easy...

Yes. I’m going to keep it original for now. I have enough projects to key me busy for years. I wish the paint on the roof and hood were better. That will bother me.
