What have you done to your 200 Series this week?

How many miles? How dramatic was the difference after changing the AHC globes?

What would you always keep in your drawers?

I don't have drawers, but I keep a reasonably stocked tool bag (incl. tire kit), jumper cables, deflators, extra air hose, tow strap and gloves in the truck at all times, most of it just flopping around in the back.

What have you done to your 200 Series this week?

It's actually not an Atom, it's a homemade knockoff, but yes it's completely bonkers to drive. Turbo Honda B-series, 350ish whp, 1300lbs and gravel flying up your shorts. Shifter broke on the second lap of the day... he's always working out kinks. My buddy (the guy in the racing suit) built...

Took it to the race track.

    Long Travel AHC

I think the E&E 13mm front spacer and the E&E rear lower shock relocation bracket are getting conflated here. FRONT: just get the E&E 13mm spacer, that's the only part needed for the front suspension. This is the simplest product that maximizes front suspension travel without needing to take...

Let’s see those silver 200 series

Yes, for 2010 you can just pry the door mouldings off. No fasteners are present, just double-sided VHB tape. I used goo gone and 409 to clean off the residue. Polish would be good, but I didn't bother as my paint is crap anyway.

Complete restoration of a rusty flood damaged LX570

    1) They have a FIPG robot, what the hell kind of shop is this?!?! 2) What was that thing they used to clean the bare block? Looked like some sort of laser cooker?

KDSS Max Relocation Kit + End link LCA skids

This is kind of a longshot question, but here goes: I'm spitballing front swaybar disconnect options for LX570 (which does not have KDSS, but a plain-old sway bar mounted to the frame in the same location). Based on eyeballs or actual measurements, do you think a 1.5" max kit would move the...

    Bilstein 6112/5160 Installed

I prefer camber be at 0, and if it's not 0, it should be slightly negative rather than slightly positive. Better for handling/roadholding and wont wear your outer tire edge if you do a lot of canyon carving, lol. Caster seems OK for the lift with stock arms. RR toe could be a bent suspension...

Tire Size Recommendation for 20" Stock Wheels on an LX 570 (2014)

I ran some 275/60 craigslist specials for a while just because the stock dunlops were useless in the snow and that was what was available cheap and local. I couldn't tell a difference from a ride/handling/power standpoint from the stock size. Also couldn't tell a difference visually. If...

    Fast clicking - no start...diagnosis?

Battery. When the starter goes out, it won't do squat, you won't even get the clicks.

    City Driving

Yes, in Chicago, definitely woolwax every fall, even (especially!!!) if it's already got some surface rust. Your frame isn't going to rust out, but AHC has lots of little hoses and fittings that rust can kill and they can be hard to diagnose and cost a fortune to fix. Nice truck, looks just...

    200 Series Portal Axles

I would think it would be a priority for most people, seeing as everybody loves kdss and (to a lesser extent) AHC. But I can't even imagine the numbers--seems as much as we drool over portals, only very few would actually put up the money to install them.

    LC/LX Undercoating Rust Proof

If you're planning on doing the suspension lift soon, then lift first, then undercoat. The coatings will make the job messier.

2015 lx 570 110,000 miles control arm ball joints cracked

What he said ^ When the bushings are twisted (i.e. suspension dangling on a lift) they look a lot worse than they actually are. Look under with a flashlight at ride height and they probably look fine. Also, when your bushings are actually shot, you'll feel it in sloppy handling and even...
