I was thinking for your resetting tripmeter…. Due to poor battery connection or weak battery. Cuz when I disconnect batteries it forgets the trip and seat/steering wheel memory as well, I believe you dont have them. Don’t mind the radio station memory cuz even if I remove battery it does not...

Zeroing tripmeter sounds like weak battery or might poor battery connection. For the door switch things, if you are handy a bit on using a multimeter, first remove the switches and do a test by pressing and releasing on it. I do have a European spec 4.7 V8 and I dont remember where the switch...
