I'm currently tackling my first-ever engine refurb on my 1989 FJ62 Land Cruiser (GCC Spec) with the 3F carbureted engine — and I’ve hit a bit of a mystery.

I pulled apart the engine to double-check, wear and tear and to replace gaskets.
After I look at my head and block. They don't match each other. And the gasket doesn't fit either properly. But it is exactly the same gasket that was already on the engine.

Perfect, I managed to put together a list.
So i cleaned the carb up to prep for the rebuild since it was just covered in grim. (Parts on the way)
Now I have an over fuel issue I believe.
