Is the diff oil seal a difficult part to replace? My bro in law is helping me (I don’t know much about working on cars) and I don’t want to over work him.

Hi all. I’m very new to the 100 series world. I just bought this 2001 LX470 and it is in need of new CV axles. I already have the axles, but I’ve heard talk of needing new snap rings. Does anybody have a link to some reasonably priced rings?
