I have an h151f transmission that I purchased on a work trip and shipped home. Very rare transmission that was never sold in the US. I was going to put it in an 80 series land cruiser but figured I don’t need another project. I’ve gone through the transmission and replaced all the bearings and...
So I bought this transmission and all the equipment for a swap from the continent of Africa and got it for a song. I’m not entirely sure what it came out of (big language barrier). It has a 14 spline input but it doesn’t have the three round castings on the side? I’m still thinking it’s a h151f...
I did stumble upon this is my quest through the interwebs, and I could find parts pretty easily with this. I was just being very optimistic and hoping they would make a generic overhaul kit like I’ve seen for the h55f. But this kinda confirms that I’m destined to just piecemill an as needed...
I just recently bought a h151f but have no idea of it’s condition or it’s life (from Africa so it’s probably been hard, but the price was right). I’ve looked around quite a bit and can’t find any sort of rebuild kit or seal kit for them. I’ve found some individual parts but not any sort of...
Yeah for sure... but it’s gonna be a bit, I live in the best part of the USA but they have a tendency to use all the salt on the road for winter so she probably won’t make an appearance till spring. And the axles are out of it as well due to a regearing and axle narrowing.
When I first took her out for the first few test runs she had pretty significant deathwobble. But I did some adjusting with the rear shackles on the front axle and took the run flats out which eliminated the problem all together.
I'm running a custom spring packs in all four corners. They're...
I've personally never driven a stock fj40 but... the ride quality isn't too bad. I have both the semi tractor batteries in the back which evens the weight out quite well and it should get better once I put on the spare tire. I also made the wheelbase longer. It's pretty quick for an fj, pulls...
Yea the 6bt came with one on the LH of the engine. It connects to the power steering pump as well. I'm using a stock toyota brake booster (I'm not sure out of what) and it's adapted to a chevy master.
I just finished my 2 year long project, and now I want to share it with some people who might appreciate it. It has a few bugs at the moment but nothing major at all.
