The new alternator showed up today. Installed and now the radio works perfect with engine running or without. No changes to any radio settings. Not sure exactly what the old Alternator was putting out there to cause the transmission interference but it's solved now.

It’s time to mount my antenna for my GMRS radio and I’m looking for ideas. I have one of those stubby midland units. Where have you guys put yours? Pics would be appreciated. I’m currently thinking building a mount to use 2 of the hood hinge bolts or maybe a side mount right below the hood.

I have what I am told is a good 3 speed out of an FJ40. $350 obo. Seems to shift fine on my garage floor. I also have a three speed transfer case that is not attached and needs a rebuild. I’d throw that in for free.

Do you still have your transfer case shifter parts? I am looking to convert from vacuum to manual shift.
