not sure on the eyebrows and no insulation, but yes new and mod'd clutch . radiator is also only a year old.
i am not too concerned on temp, just spoke to my buddy and thought as i am doing a flush soon, look at my options, and WW gave him a great improvement
last year
only change is new 33" mt tires, replaced worn 33" at tires. i will flush and replace with same toyo red and see how that does. my bump was about 6 deg, and as it is not my daily that's not totally accurate as i didn't track weather from last year to this year on the few weekends i...
Good point on the flush. He just keeps distilled (I think distilled) water in the truck for top ups. He hasn't needed to yet.
He did say when he flushed his green coolant, it was clean, no sludge etc. Maybe the coolant itself, although it looked good, was just past its best?
I may just flush...
Has anyone experienced replacing coolant with water wetter?
My 96 33" with Toyota red, with clutch fan mod seems to be running a little warmer than last year, up to 196 Deg (max) with AC in Florida sun.
My buddy flushed his Landrover D1, and replaced with water/water wetter and saw a 10 degree...
Great feedback. Sounds like I may be on the right track.
Lp2k - yes I tried everything, these particular pumps were not playing at all. Different pressures, angles, in deep, on filler circumference. Gentle squeezing is how i managed to get the less sensitive second gas station pump to work...
Tried 3 pumps at the gas station and the nozzle just clicked after about 0.2 gallons. At another gas station I had better luck, but I had to almost had to massage the fuel in. Maybe this is a symptom of a bad cannister? I do have some whooshing for a few seconds and can smell gas sometimes in my...
Update. After a very wet, sandy and muddy weekend so far there is no idler noise after fitting that belly pan. Engine does seem to run a little hotter though at highway speeds.
Thanks all.
There is a cover on the bearing, and I am not sure if the bearings are knock-offs - bought from Amazon.
I decided to buy an new OEM pulley. When mine is tight, but not tight on the belts, I can feel some play, not sure if it is normal or not. Also found an engine lower cover so...
Its a good point. Its tough to tell, it 'looks' ok, seems to run true and rubber looks fine from a visual. Is there any better way to tell it needs replacing?
I'm in Florida so most of my offroading is swamp wet/dry sand and water in general. I am finding that my compressor idle pulley bearing doesn't last long before getting noisy, i would guess I need to change it every 800 miles. I replace with :-
NACHI 4 Pack 6301-2NSE9 Bearing 6301-2NSE Seals...
hello all. Does anyone know the thread size for the pin slide on the rear calipers. Need to clean up the female side, looks like m14, but I don't have a tap or fastener to check it.
TIA
